“Hemi” is Greek for “half”. If asked, they will claim that it is half of a four wheel drive to justify the badging.

Here’s the thing I never got about this; anybody who would possibly care about a Hemi—or an M, AMG or any other designation for that matter—would immediately know this was fake. Or is this something people do purely for kicks?

I approve of this obvious joke on a cheap crappy car :)

“Hemi” would impress the layman. Most non-car people are somewhat aware that it’s something to boast about without actually knowing what it means.

Just needs one of these

My gut reaction is that this example is a joke by the owner.
When I worked at a dealership, there was a bucket with like 50 emblems in it tha t we stuck onto a coworkers Ra nger one night when we were bored. Every once in a while a badge would show up on someone’s car just to see how long it took them to notice. Some didn’t care enough to remove them.

Wish I had a photo of it now... I saw a smart car with a brabus badge a while ago. Thought to myself “yeah, right”
Turns out it’s a thing!
